Film Thickness & Warranties

Anodised finishes are available in different film thicknesses to suit your environment and warranty needs:

  • 12 micron: Suitable for most residential applications, with a 10-year warranty.

  • 25 micron: Recommended for coastal, industrial, or high-exposure environments, with a 20-year warranty.

For properties within 500 metres of the sea or in particularly harsh conditions, 25 micron anodising is strongly advised to ensure long-term performance and warranty coverage.

Care & Maintenance

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your anodised joinery:

  • Clean regularly with warm water and a mild detergent.

  • Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

  • In coastal or industrial areas, increase cleaning frequency to prevent salt or grime build-up.

Anodised Aluminium

Anodising is a proven surface treatment that creates a protective oxide layer on the aluminium, delivering a deep metallic appearance and exceptional resistance to weather, corrosion, and wear. This finish is highly popular for architectural projects and premium homes, offering:

Long-lasting
durability

The anodised layer is extremely hard and will not flake, peel, or chip.

Low maintenance

Easy to clean and maintain, keeping your joinery looking fresh for years.

Fade resistance

Excellent UV stability and colour fastness, even in exposed locations.

Premium look

Translucent, metallic finish that highlights the natural grain and character of the aluminium.

Environmentally friendly

The anodising process enhances the base metal without the use of harsh chemicals.
